Color Therapy With Crystals
Color 101
Common color associations come from where they are found in nature; the warm orange glow from the sun can be seen as energizing and uplifting, the green grass can signal hope and financial success, the bright blue sky can bring forth feelings of calm and stability. These color associations can be helpful when learning about the healing qualities of crystals and stones.
There are lots of subtleties among colors, the meanings, and associations of the colors can change according to their saturation, temperature, and value.
- Saturation: meaning the purity of the color
- Temperature: relates to the warm and cool tones within the color
- Value: being the relative lightness and darkness of the color.
For example, pastel pink can signal something much different than highly saturated hot pink.
